I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
